What happens if I need to cancel?

We get it, sometimes your plans change and you need to cancel. It happens to everyone. In the event you need to cancel, we ask that you give your sitter as much notice as possible, but at least 24 hours' notice so they have a chance to make other plans. Parent-initiated cancellations within 24 hours of the bookings start time will incur the $4.95 booking fee. Parent-initiated cancellations within 2 hours of the start time may incur a charge of one (1) hour at the reserved sitter's published rate or $20, whichever is greater. There will be no charges to the parent in the event the sitter cancels. 

We understand that you are depending on your sitter to arrive on time. Sitter reliability is of the utmost importance to us. As such, we track cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled booking time. If a sitter's reliability rating falls below an acceptable level, we deactivate their account. We consider cancellations within 2 hours of the booking time to be equivalent to a no-show. Every no-show/last minute cancellation is reviewed by our member support team and sitters face immediate deactivation when appropriate.
