Modified on Tue, 26 Sep, 2023 at 5:45 PM

If you have an event or activity that keeps you unavailable to sit during a specific time and/or day over a series of weeks, you’re going to want to set up a recurring event on your calendar! Having an event on your in app calendar will ensure your profile is hidden from requests when you cannot take the booking.

To get to your calendar in the app, you’ll click My Account —> My Calendar

Adding a recurring event is easy and just a few steps!

  1. Click Add Event

  2. Title your event (School, Work, Soccer Practice…etc)

  3. Decide if your event keeps you unavailable all day or at specific hours of the day.

    1. If it’s all day, click the All Day button

    2. If it’s specific hours, you’ll complete that in the next step!

  4. Starts - here you will choose the DAY your event starts

    1. You will also select the time you are unavailable here if it’s not all day

  5. Ends - For an event that happens more than once, you will want to select the same day as the start day you selected in your last step.

    1. You will also select the time your event ends if it’s not all day, just like in the last step.

  6. Repeat - Click “Does not repeat” and then choose which day(s) your event falls on each week.

    1. You will also select if this is every week or every 2 weeks

  7. End Repeat - Here is where you will put the last day your event occurs!

  8. Click Add Event to save!

Here is a video showing you how to add a recurring event.

In this example, the Sitter has added an event that says they are at school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am-3pm every week from 5/1-5/31 and are unavailable to sit.

Have an event change or cancel? Here is a video showing how to cancel either 1 of the events or all of the events. In the example, the Sitter first cancels the 5/1 instance then they cancel all of the instances of the event going forward.
