Profile Picture Standards for Sitters

Modified on Tue, 26 Sep, 2023 at 5:20 PM

Our data shows that Sitters who use our profile photo suggestions (below) book far more sits than those who do not. What does that mean for you? Better profile = more connections, which in turn means more $$$$$ for YOU!

Yes, please!:

  • Clear and bright - Lighting matters!

  • Only you - for the safety and security of you and our families, you need to be identifiable from your picture when you arrive to a booking. Think of this how you would a ride share app that shows you the make and model of the car you will be getting into. Safety depends on Parents being able to easily identify you from your profile picture.

  • Recent Photo -The security of our app depends on you! Your profile picture needs to be a picture that is 3 months old or less. If you have recently made major changes to your appearance, it will need to be newer. Use good judgment!

  • Job ready - Your photo should be the BEST representation of who you are! That means you want to look “first day on the job ready”. Put your best foot forward, or in this case, best SMILE!

No thank you!:

  • Mirror Selfies

  • Dark Photos

  • Group photos(2 or more)

  • Filters

  • Screenshots

  • Duck Face

  • Sexually suggestive

  • Too far away to clearly recognize facial features

  • Masks

  • Tongue Out

  • Couples photo

  • Orientation is incorrect (sideways)

  • No attire that is not work/school appropriate

Most importantly, this is your chance to show parents that you will be the perfect Sitter for their family! Is your best picture for that one where you are dark and brooding? Or is it one where you are dressed your best, smiling, and ready to have fun with our wonderful families? Let’s look at some examples below to see the answer in action!
